Liposuction

When you think liposuction you almost always automatically think vanity, you always think that someone is having surgery because they want to look younger and hide their advancing years and expanding waistline.

If you hear it is a man having liposuction then you really do wonder what is going on, men as they age tend not to worry to much about an increasing waistline. The one exception to this is a man who is going through a mid life crisis and is looking to meet a much younger women.

So why would a man have liposuction? Increasingly men are having the operation to remove their "man boobs" This embarrassing growth of male breasts is reasonably common, particularly in teenage boys. As many as 40% of all teenage boys will develop Gynecomastia (the medical term for what is commonly known as "man boobs" or male breasts).

For most teenagers it will go away on its own as they get older and will just become a bad memory, for the small percentage of boys where it doesn't go away there are a few things that can be done to remove them. Liposuction is just one of these things.

The increasing breast size is caused normally by one of two things, increased storage of fat or a hormonal problem caused by glands. The first thing that needs to be done is find out which one is causing the problem, your Dr will send you to a specialist who can tell you which it is. Add to Technorati Favorites Bookmark and Share
